Stainless Steel & Specialty Drawer Slides

304/316 corrosion-resistant slides for harsh environments

When Standard Steel Won't Do

Zinc-plated carbon steel corrodes rapidly in wet, chemical, or saline environments - bearing seizure and failure within months. BWD stainless slides use full 304 or 316L construction: rails, cages, balls, and fasteners.

304 (18/8 Cr-Ni): food-processing, pharmaceutical, general wet. Salt spray 500+ hours (ASTM B117). 316L (Mo-enhanced): marine, chemical labs, chloride washdown. Salt spray 1,000+ hours.

Load ratings 50-250 lb, full-extension, optional lock-out. Operating temp -30C to +80C; special lubricant for 200C+ applications. Meets FDA 21 CFR 175.300 (indirect food contact), NSF/ANSI 2 compatible.

Cost: 2-3x carbon steel. Recommend only where environment demands it. We provide a cost-analysis worksheet to help justify the investment vs failure/downtime costs.
