Light, Corrosion-Free, Versatile
BWD aluminum slides use 6063-T5 extruded alloy rails delivering ~65% weight savings vs equivalent steel while handling loads up to 100 lb (45 kg) per pair. Natural oxide layer provides inherent corrosion resistance; anodized finishes add 15-20 micron protection.
Ideal for: filing cabinets (shipping cost optimization), retail POS fixtures, RV/marine cabinetry (weight + corrosion), medical carts (non-magnetic). Complex extrusion profiles possible including integrated cable-management channels.
Limitation: yield strength ~145 MPa (1/3 of steel), so rail cross-sections are larger. Standard 27 mm width (vs 45 mm steel). Not suitable above 100 lb - transition to steel for heavy loads. All models pass 200+ h salt spray, RoHS/REACH compliant.
